Welcome to pilotknob.org ...
Thanks for visiting. We're excited about what pilotknob.org can offer to both members of Pilot Knob Lutheran and the surrounding community. There are many churches in the North Iowa area, each with its unique ability of serving in the Body of Christ. We pray you find the congregation God has chosen for you to serve.

We encourage you to not only take a look around, but also tell us about your visit: how you use the web site, and what you'd like to see added to pilotknob.org. We desire to be a resource for the Christian and non-Christian alike. Thank you, and may God enrich your day.

We hope you'll visit us in person, too! We a short drive from numerous communities: Forest City, Fertile, Hanlontown and Joice, Iowa.

American Association of Lutheran ChurchesThe American Association of Lutheran Churches (AALC)
The AALC (or TAALC) was born at its constituting convention in November of 1987. Comprised of pastors and congregations in most part from the former American Lutheran Church (ALC) and the Lutheran Church in America (LCA), its initial focus would be on the inerrancy an infallibility of the Scriptures, a personal commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and subscription to the Lutheran Confessions.

The AALC has grown from 12 congregations to 78 congregations in 23 states and formed its own seminary, American Lutheran Theological Seminary (ALTS). It is located on the campus of Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, Indiana. The Rev. Franklin E. Hays heads the AALC; he holds the position of presiding pastor.
