Welcome to Pilot Knob Lutheran Church
We would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to Pilot Knob Lutheran Church, AALC. We pray your worship here this morning will be uplifting and help you better understand the relationship we have with God through Jesus Christ.

If you have any questions about receiving Jesus by faith and beginning a relationship with God, please speak with the person who invited you, another member of the congregation or the Pastor before you leave this morning. We will be happy to help you discover the truth about starting a new life with Jesus today! Once, again, welcome and may God richly bless our time here this day.

Pray for the Following: Otto Anderson, Louis and Dorothea Escobedo (missionaries), Virginia Tech. Shootings, Safety for our Military, Government, Revival, AALC, Persecuted Christians

Personal Memory Bank: "The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever." —I John 2:17 (NIV)

Last Week’s Quiz: Who killed King Josiah? Read II Kings 23.
This Week’s Quiz: At what city did Joshua set up 12 stones that were taken out of the Jordan River? Read Joshua 4.

Communion next Sunday: We come together to receive the body and blood of our Savior Jesus Christ. As the apostle Paul taught his church, whoever eats the bread and drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord. (I Corinthians 11:17-34) A man ought to examine himself before he eats of the bread and drinks judgment on himself. May we prepare through forgiveness and repentance to receive communion in a worthy and God honoring manner.

Food for Thot: The earth’s 365-day, 5-hour, 48-minute and 45.51-second trip around the sun is accurate to a thousandth of a second. If the earth traveled slightly slower, the earth would move closer to the sun, and all life would perish.

Are you up for a daily quiz? Connect to pilotknob.org for the quiz of the day and test your knowledge of the Bible. It can be a growing experience. Daily devotions are also located there.

May 7-8, Joint Constituting Meeting for Heartland and Central Plains Region. Redeemer Lutheran, Des Moines.

Pilot Knob’s Purpose Statement:
Worship God and proclaim His Word so people experience salvation in Jesus, mature in the faith, and equip all to serve in the church and world.
