Welcome to Pilot Knob Lutheran Church
We would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to Pilot Knob Lutheran Church, AALC. We pray your worship here this morning will be uplifting and help you better understand the relationship we have with God through Jesus Christ.

If you have any questions about receiving Jesus by faith and beginning a relationship with God, please speak with the person who invited you, another member of the congregation or the Pastor before you leave this morning. We will be happy to help you discover the truth about starting a new life with Jesus today! Once, again, welcome and may God richly bless our time here this day.

Pray for the Following: Max Nye; Leland Pederson; Donna Ranheim's niece, Amanda Simmons – Iraq; Louis and Dorothea Escobedo (missionaries); Safety for our military; Government; Revival; AALC; Persecuted Christians

Personal Memory Bank: "If you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." —Romans 10:9 (NIV)

Today’s Quiz: What was first work of the Lord? Read Proverbs 8.
Next Week’s Quiz: What did the people of Israel call manna? Read Exodus 16.

Thank you to all who attended and helped with VBS. We had a great time 'Diving into God's Word' and had many young students in attendance. Thank you Barb and Karolyn for you hard work, time and effort.

Today we come together to receive the body and blood of our Savior Jesus Christ. As the apostle Paul taught his church, whoever eats the bread and drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord.

"A man ought to examine himself before he eats of the bread and drinks of the cup. For anyone who eats and drinks with out recognizing the body of the Lord eats and drinks judgment on himself. May we prepare through forgiveness and repentance to receive communion in a worthy and God honoring manner." —I Corinthians 11:17-34

If you are interested in church membership or would like more information please contact Pr. Bob. A membership class will be coming in the near future.

The council has established a computer fund to replace the aging church computer. The cost will be from $800 to $1,100. If you would like to contribute to this please mark your contribution accordingly.

Food for Thot: "Electromagnetic force (the force that attracts positive and negative charges) is a constant strength in the universe. If it were a little bit weaker than it is then the electrons that are held around the nucleus of atoms by the electromagnetic force would fly off into space, and there would be no possibility of atoms’ sharing electrons to make molecules. Without molecules, life isn't possible." —The earth was created for man.—

July Offerings
General Fund: $4713.88
Building Fund: $620.00
Benevolence Fund: $180.00
Computer Fund: $365.00 (Total $630.00)

Pilot Knob’s Purpose Statement:
Worship God and proclaim His Word so people experience salvation in Jesus, mature in the faith, and equip all to serve in the church and world
