Welcome to Pilot Knob Lutheran Church
We would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to Pilot Knob Lutheran Church, AALC. We pray your worship here this morning will be uplifting and help you better understand the relationship we have with God through Jesus Christ.

If you have any questions about receiving Jesus by faith and beginning a relationship with God, please speak with the person who invited you, another member of the congregation or the Pastor before you leave this morning. We will be happy to help you discover the truth about starting a new life with Jesus today! Once, again, welcome and may God richly bless our time here this day.

Pray for the Following: Florence Nye, Donna Ranheim’s niece, Amanda Simmons (Iraq); Louis and Dorothea Escobedo (missionaries) trip to India; Safety for our military; Government; Revival; AALC; Persecuted Christians

Personal Memory Bank: “Rescue those being led away to death; hold back those staggering toward slaughter.” —Proverbs 24:11 (NIV)

Today’s Quiz: In whose spirit and power did John the Baptist do his work?
Next Week’s Quiz: After Seraiah read Jeremiah’s letter of doom upon Babylon what did he do with it? Read Jeremiah 51.

A Council Minute:

A soup luncheon will be held from 11:00 a.m to 1:00 p.m. on February 2, hosted by the church council. Sign up to make pies and invite a friend or neighbor. Matching funds are being applied for through Thrivent Financial and the offering will go towards retiring the mortgage.

We are looking for a song leader or two who could help us learn new songs and unfamiliar ones. If interested or want more information contact Pastor Bob.

The council has established a technology fund. This fund will be used to replace and/or repair equipment. Donations are accepted at any time.

In the event of adverse weather, it may be necessary for Sunday services to be cancelled. If they are, it will be announced on the following radio stations: KJLY, KCMR, KIOW, KGLO, KIMT. If you think you missed the announcement you may call Pastor Bob.

Food for thot: “The people we pretend to defend, the powerless, those who cannot escape, who cannot rise up in the streets, these are the ones that ought to be protected by the law. The law exists to protect the weak from the strong.” —Former Rep. Henry Hyde, R-Ill., during a 2003 debate to ban partial-birth abortion

Did you miss a service and would like to hear the sermon, or refer the message to someone else? Are you up for a daily quiz? Connect to www.pilotknob.org. Are you up for a quiz of the day and a test your knowledge of the Bible? It can be a growing experience.

Link for a kids’ web site: www.kidsanswers.org. They'll love the fun and you will love the safe, creator-honoring entertainment that awaits them.

Pilot Knob’s Purpose Statement:
Worship God and proclaim His Word so people experience salvation in Jesus, mature in the faith, and equip all to serve in the church and world
