Welcome to Pilot Knob Lutheran Church
We would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to Pilot Knob Lutheran Church, AALC. We pray your worship here this morning will be uplifting and help you better understand the relationship we have with God through Jesus Christ.

If you have any questions about receiving Jesus by faith and beginning a relationship with God, please speak with the person who invited you, another member of the congregation or the Pastor before you leave this morning. We will be happy to help you discover the truth about starting a new life with Jesus today! Once, again, welcome and may God richly bless our time here this day.

Pray for the Following: Max and Florence Nye; Jon and Donna Ranheim’s niece, Amanda Simmons (Iraq); Louis and Dorothea Escobedo (missionaries); Safety for our military; Government; Revival; AALC; Persecuted Christians

Personal Memory Bank: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” —John 3:16-17 (NIV)

Today’s Quiz: What was the consequence for not worshipping the golden image of King Nebuchadnezzar? Read Daniel 3.
Next Week’s Quiz: How many days was Jonah in the belly of the whale?

Please note the time the candles are being extinguished is a time for reflection and prayer on what God has spoken to you.

Passover Seder Meal will be at 6:00 p.m. on March 15. It will be conducted by Jeannie Goldstein. She is currently in Israel and works for “Jews for Jesus.” Plan on inviting a friend. Please sign up TODAY.

The church is in need of a congregational coordinator for Thrivant Financial in order to qualify for matching funds. If you have a Thrivant policy and are interested, contact a council member.

The gift-wrapped box at the foot of the lectern is a birthday box. If you had a birthday the past week and would like to give an offering that will go to missions you may place it in the box during the offering.

The council has established a technology fund. This fund will be used to replace and/or repair equipment. Donations are accepted at any time.

We want to shout a big thanks to all of you for your support with our Valentines booth. We were able to purchase some really great material and prizes for the table, and we couldn’t have done it without your support. We also had a successful follow-up Tuesday night, Feb. 19, at Exit to Hope. God worked it out so that Margaret Guth from the Caring Pregnancy Center in Mason City spoke about the center as well as some of the triumphs and trials she and her husband have experienced in their relationship through dating and marriage. God has really had a hand in all of this coming into place. We thank you for your prayers this year and for your continued prayers as we look into some options for next year. Your support has been so encouraging for all of us. Thank you. —Natalie, Sabrina, Reggie, Lydia, Christine, Kelly, Greg & Jeremiah

Meaning of Communion
Today we come together to receive the body and blood of our Savior Jesus Christ. As the apostle Paul taught his church, whoever eats the bread and drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord. ”A man ought to examine himself before he eats of the bread and drinks of the cup. For anyone who eats and drinks with out recognizing the body of the Lord eats and drinks judgment upon himself.” (I Corinthians 11:17-34) May we prepare through forgiveness and repentance to receive communion in a worthy and God-honoring manner.

Pilot Knob’s Purpose Statement:
Worship God and proclaim His Word so people experience salvation in Jesus, mature in the faith, and equip all to serve in the church and world
