Welcome to Pilot Knob Lutheran Church
We would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to Pilot Knob Lutheran Church, AALC. We pray your worship here this morning will be uplifting and help you better understand the relationship we have with God through Jesus Christ.

If you have any questions about receiving Jesus by faith and beginning a relationship with God, please speak with the person who invited you, another member of the congregation or the Pastor before you leave this morning. We will be happy to help you discover the truth about starting a new life with Jesus today! Once, again, welcome and may God richly bless our time here this day.

Pray for the Following: Jon and Donna Ranheim’s niece, Amanda Simmons (Iraq); Louis and Dorothea Escobedo (missionaries); Safety for our military; Presidential Election; Revival; AALC; Persecuted Christians

Personal Memory Bank: “This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.” —I John 3:16 (NIV)

Today’s Quiz: What did the enemies of Israel want to do for Zerubbabel? Read Ezra 4.
Next Week’s Quiz: When asked, “what are the names of the men constructing the temple,” what was their answer? Read Ezra 5.

Ladies and girls, reserve 6:00 Tuesday night, May 6, for our night out. The Speaker will be Christy Tass.

The Forest City Food Bank supplies food for those in need and has seen a rise in customers in recent weeks. We will have a box available year-round for donations. At this time they could use toilet paper, toothpaste, shampoo and tuna in addition to regular nonperishable food items.

The gift-wrapped box at the foot of the lectern is a birthday box. If you had a birthday the past week and would like to give an offering that will go to missions you may place it in the box during the offering.

On the Lite Side
My mother taught me HOW TO BECOME AN ADULT: “If you don’t eat your vegetables, you’ll never grow up.”

The council has established a technology fund. This fund will be used to replace and repair equipment. Donations are accepted at any time.

Did you miss a service and would like to hear the sermon, or refer the message to someone else? Are you up for a daily quiz? Connect to www.pilotknob.org. Are you up for a quiz of the day and a test your knowledge of the Bible? It can be a growing experience.

Link for a kids’ web site: www.kidsanswers.org. They'll love the fun and you will love the safe, creator-honoring entertainment that awaits them.

Pilot Knob’s Purpose Statement:
Worship God and proclaim His Word so people experience salvation in Jesus, mature in the faith, and equip all to serve in the church and world
