Welcome to Pilot Knob Lutheran Church
We would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to Pilot Knob Lutheran Church, AALC. We pray your worship here this morning will be uplifting and help you better understand the relationship we have with God through Jesus Christ.

If you have any questions about receiving Jesus by faith and beginning a relationship with God, please speak with the person who invited you, another member of the congregation or the Pastor before you leave this morning. We will be happy to help you discover the truth about starting a new life with Jesus today! Once, again, welcome and may God richly bless our time here this day.

Personal Memory Bank: “... Jesus ... said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.’” —Matthew 28:18-20 (NIV)

Today’s Quiz: How long was Anna, the prophetess, married? Read Luke 2.
Next Week’s Quiz: Who interrupted Jesus while on his way to heal the daughter of Jairus, the synagogue ruler? Read Mark 5.

Meaning of Communion
Today we come together to receive the body and blood of our Savior Jesus Christ. As the apostle Paul taught his church, whoever eats the bread and drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord. (I Corinthians 11:17-34) A man ought to examine himself before he eats of the bread and drinks of the cup. For anyone who eats and drinks with out recognizing the body of the Lord eats and drinks judgment on himself. May we prepare through forgiveness and repentance to receive communion in a worthy and God-honoring manner.

Exit to Hope, a ministry at Waldorf College to reach students with the gospel and promote biblical morality is asking for our help once again, to provide resources for a Valentine’s Day table promoting abstinence. Mark your offering accordingly.

Food for Thot:
“You cannot escape responsibility of tomorrow by evading it today.” —President Abraham Lincoln

In the event of adverse weather, it may be necessary for Sunday services to be cancelled. If they are it will be announced on the following radio stations: KJLY, KCMR, KIOW, KGLO, KIMT. If you think you missed the announcement you may call Pastor Bob.

Did you miss a service and would like to hear the sermon, or refer the message to someone else? Are you up for a daily quiz? Connect to www.pilotknob.org. Are you up for a quiz of the day and a test your knowledge of the Bible? It can be a growing experience.

Link for a kids’ web site: www.kidsanswers.org. They'll love the fun and you will love the safe, creator-honoring entertainment that awaits them.

Notice: The telephone/internet fund needs your help. The Internet is used for church computers as well as the church’s web page. If anyone would like to donate to this fund you may. Monthly cost is $62. Check out our web page at: www.pilotknob.org

In an effort to retire the church debt as quickly as possible it was suggested at the annual meeting that if each family donated $5 a week and that amount was put toward the principle, in a year’s time we would have $7,200. This would be paid each quarter and your donation is only a suggestion. If you desire to help please mark your gift accordingly. Thank you for your prayerful consideration. —PKLC Council

The council has established a technology fund. This fund will be used to replace and repair equipment. Donations are accepted at any time.

Pilot Knob’s Purpose Statement:
Worship God and proclaim His Word so people experience salvation in Jesus, mature in the faith, and equip all to serve in the church and world
