Welcome to Pilot Knob Lutheran Church
We would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to Pilot Knob Lutheran Church, AALC. We pray your worship here this morning will be uplifting and help you better understand the relationship we have with God through Jesus Christ.

If you have any questions about receiving Jesus by faith and beginning a relationship with God, please speak with the person who invited you, another member of the congregation or the Pastor before you leave this morning. We will be happy to help you discover the truth about starting a new life with Jesus today! Once, again, welcome and may God richly bless our time here this day.

Pray for the Following: Economy; Winnebago Ind./Waldorf College; Louis and Dorothea Escobedo, missionaries; President; AALC; Military: Amanda Simmons, Diane Swanson, Heather Gerdes, Justin Gerdes

Personal Memory Bank: “Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. ” —Mark 16:16 (NIV)

Today’s Quiz: What is more important than casting out demons? Read Luke 10.
Next Week’s Quiz: How does a king or national leader bring about stability? Read Proverbs 29.

Ladies-Girls Night will be at 7:00 p.m. on May 5. The program has speaker Liz Curtis Higgs, a humorous speaker on the video “Angels Can Wing It.”

Dennis Swanberg will be at River Oaks on May 20. Pastor will have tickets for sale. Excellent family entertainment.

The Women of Life will be serving Roger Jennings Auction on June 6th.

Food for Thot: “If a nation pursues economics over righteousness, it will lose both; the only way to preserve economic prosperity is by pursuing righteousness.” —David Barton, founder and president of WallBuilders

In an effort to retire the church debt as quickly as possible, it was suggested at the annual meeting that if each family donated $5 a week and the amount was put toward the principle, in a year’s time we would have $7,200. This would be paid each quarter and your donation is only a suggestion. If you desire to help please mark your gift accordingly. Thank you for your prayerful consideration. —PKLC Council

The Forest City Food Bank supplies food for those in need and has had a rise in customers in recent months. We will have a box available year round for donations.

Did you miss a service and would like to hear the sermon, or refer the message to someone else? Are you up for a daily quiz? Connect to www.pilotknob.org. Are you up for a quiz of the day and a test your knowledge of the Bible? It can be a growing experience.

Link for a kids’ web site: www.kidsanswers.org. They'll love the fun and you will love the safe, creator-honoring entertainment that awaits them.

Pilot Knob’s Purpose Statement:
