Spooner, Steve Ferronato Personal Memory Bank: “Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” —Hebrews 4:16 (NIV) Today’s Quiz: Where were Jesus’ followers first called Christians? Coming: The PKLC Council is asking the congregation to set a goal of retiring the building debt by August 31, 2009. They are asking for special offerings in the month of August. If enough money is not contributed to pay the current debt balance of $7,300 by September 1, 2009, a consignment/donation auction will be scheduled. All funds from this auction will go to the remaining debt. Bulletin Bloopers: The ladies of the Church have cast off clothing of every kind. They may be seen in the basement on Friday afternoon. Did you miss a service and would like to hear the sermon, or refer the message to someone else? Are you up for a daily quiz? Connect to www.pilotknob.org. Are you up for a quiz of the day and a test your knowledge of the Bible? It can be a growing experience. Link for a kids’ web site: www.kidsanswers.org. They'll love the fun and you will love the safe, creator-honoring entertainment that awaits them. The Forest City Food Bank supplies food for those in need and has had a rise in customers in recent months. We will have a box available year round for donations. If you had a birthday the past month and would like to give an offering that will go to missions you may place it in the gift wrapped box at the foot of the lectern at any time. Please note the time the candles are being extinguished is a time for reflection and prayer on what God has spoken to you. The council has established a technology fund. This fund will be used to replace and/or repair equipment. Donations are accepted at any time. Pilot Knob’s Purpose Statement: |
