Welcome to Pilot Knob Lutheran Church
We would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to Pilot Knob Lutheran Church, AALC. We pray your worship here this morning will be uplifting and help you better understand the relationship we have with God through Jesus Christ.

If you have any questions about receiving Jesus by faith and beginning a relationship with God, please speak with the person who invited you, another member of the congregation or the Pastor before you leave this morning. We will be happy to help you discover the truth about starting a new life with Jesus today! Once, again, welcome and may God richly bless our time here this day.

Pray for the Following: Louis and Dorothea Escobedo; Economy; Government; Revival; AALC; Armed Forces: Amanda Simmons, Bobby Snitzer

Personal Memory Bank: “He who is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward him for what he has done.” —Proverbs 19:17 (NIV)

Today’s Quiz: What fierce wind is mentioned in Acts 27?
Next Week’s Quiz: What made some people think that Paul was a god? Read Acts 28.

Thot for the day:
“Choose to love rather than hate, choose to create rather than destroy. Choose to persevere rather than quit. Choose to praise rather than gossip. Choose to heal rather than wound. Choose to pray rather than curse. Choose to live rather than die. Choose Jesus Christ over the world. God bless you.” —Rod Woodson (Steeler—Hall of Fame speech 7/09)

Meaning of Communion
Today we come together to receive the body and blood of our Savior Jesus Christ. As the apostle Paul taught his church, whoever eats the bread and drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord.

“A man ought to examine himself before he eats of the bread and drinks of the cup. For anyone who eats and drinks with out recognizing the body of the Lord eats and drinks judgment on himself.” —I Corinthians 11:17-34

May we prepare through forgiveness and repentance to receive communion in a worthy and God-honoring manner.

Did you miss a service and would like to hear the sermon, or refer the message to someone else? Are you up for a daily quiz? Connect to www.pilotknob.org. Are you up for a quiz of the day and a test your knowledge of the Bible? It can be a growing experience.
